Bellevue City Council Approves Paid Street Parking Program

Bellevue City Council Approves Paid Street Parking Program

The Bellevue City Council has approved a new ordinance introducing a paid street parking program across the city’s urban core. This initiative aims to manage parking demand and enhance accessibility in Bellevue’s densest neighborhoods, including Downtown, Wilburton, BelRed, and the Spring District.

The program will implement a dynamic, demand-based pricing model, with hourly rates ranging from $1 to $8. The city’s transportation department is tasked with establishing and managing the program, aiming to maintain an on-street occupancy rate of 80%, or about 1–2 open parking spaces per city block.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed about the program’s rollout and any updates by visiting the city’s official website or contacting the transportation department directly.
