Bellevue’s dedication to addressing affordable housing needs is exemplified by recent community-driven initiatives. A notable example is the collaboration between St. Peter’s United Methodist Church and Imagine Housing, a nonprofit affordable housing developer.
After years of thoughtful planning, St. Peter’s UMC sold its property in the Crossroads area to Imagine Housing. This partnership aims to construct approximately 100 affordable apartment homes, providing much-needed housing opportunities for families who might otherwise be unable to reside in Bellevue.
Pastor Rich Fuss of St. Peter’s UMC expressed gratitude for the collaboration, emphasizing the positive impact these homes will have on the Bellevue community for generations to come.
This initiative aligns with Bellevue’s broader efforts to enhance housing stability and community well-being. By repurposing underutilized properties for affordable housing, the city demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing housing challenges.
Community members interested in supporting or learning more about such initiatives can engage with local organizations and city planning meetings. Staying informed and involved ensures that Bellevue continues to be a welcoming and inclusive place for all residents.
